Advice Enquiry

You do not need an appointment to access our service. If you would like to speak to an adviser please see the information about our walk in sessions. Please note that we are unable to book appointments via our email service.

You can use our enquiry form to email us details of the issues you would like advice on. Please include as much detail as you can about the issues and any personal circumstances that are relevant to this. This will enable is to provide you with more information that is relevant to your circumstances. We may be able to provide you with links to information, which will answer your questions. If your questions require more complex advice we will invite you to one of our walk in sessions at our Yeovil office or one of our outreach locations if this is easier for you to access.

Data Protection

In order to help you with your enquiry by email we need to record details of your case. These details may contain personal and sensitive data. Personal data is data which can be used to identify you. This may include your name, date of birth, address, telephone number, etc. Sensitive data is information related to any of the following: racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, health, sexuality or sex life, offences and/or convictions. The record of your case will be stored on a shared electronic case management system accessed by members of the CAB service. To comply with the Data Protection Act 1988 we must tell you how we use this data and ask your consent to record your details in this way.

Email Confidentiality

Internet email is a way of making general enquiries but it is not a secure way to send personal information. We make every effort to ensure the security and integrity of emails on our systems. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information after we’ve received it, we cannot ensure or guarantee the security of information when it is being transmitted.
